New Voting Machines
The new ExpressVote XL voting machines and e-poll books are now being utilized countywide.

Early Voting
Early voting for the 2024 General Election will be avaialbe October 26 through November 3.
(Monday through Saturday poll hours: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

Rockaway Borough’s in-person polling site will be Assembly of God Church, 113 E. Main Street, Rockaway.

Returning Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot
By Mail
Voted Mail-In Ballots returned via the USPS must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Board of Elections no later than 144 hours (6 days) after the close of polls.
Ballot Drop Boxes
There is a drop box at the Municipal Building.
For other drop box locations, please refer to the Morris County website at Drop Box Locations
The Drop Boxes are all outside and under surveillance 24/7. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are Red, White, & Blue and display "Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box." The ballots will be picked up on a daily basis by County representatives. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the Mail-In Ballots back to the Board of Elections. The Drop Boxes will be closed at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Ballot Tracking
Setup an account at voter.svrs.nj.gov/auth/sign-up.
Then, after you submit your vote-by-mail ballot, login at voter.svrs.nj.gov/auth/sign-in and navigate to your Election History

When your ballot has been received by the Board of Elections, the web page will display Ballot Received Date.
Once the ballot is accepted, the Ballot Status will show as Accepted
