This page contains the dates of the scheduled 2026 meetings and links to the meetings' submitted agendas and minutes. Meeting dates are subject to change. Minutes are generally voted to be accepted at the next meeting and will be posted when approved. Click on agenda or minutes, to view. The documents are PDFs and the link will open a new window.

Mayor and Council

Council meetings are scheduled to be held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Such meetings shall be held for consideration of and official action may be taken upon all regular business which may arise. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public. Budget hearings begin at 9:00 a.m. Meetings will be held in person at the Community Center, 21-25 Union Street, Rockaway, New Jersey unless noted otherwise.

The 2027 reorganization meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 4, 2027.

Land Use Board

The Land Use Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month for regular meetings. Supplemental meetings will be held as needed, meeting on the fourth Wednesday of the month. If a meeting will be on another day of the week, it will be posted under "Notes" on the schedule below. No supplemental meetings are scheduled in November and December. Meetings will be held in person.

Parks & Recreation

Meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. No meeting in December.

The 2026 reorganization meeting is scheduled for January 27, 2026.

Board of Health

The Board of Health meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. No meeting in August. Meetings will be held in person at the Rockaway Borough Community Center unless indicated otherwise.

The 2027 Reorganization and regular monthly meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2027. It will be a remote-only meeting.

Historical Committee

The Rockaway Historical Committee meetings are normally held at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month. See schedule changes in notes below.

Environmental Commission

Meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Meetings will be in-person at the Community Center unless indicated otherwise.

Library Board of Trustees

Meetings are normally scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at the Rockaway Public Library at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public. A virtual option is also available. See Zoom login information.
