Municipal Meetings, Minutes, and Agendas

This page contains the dates of the scheduled 2022 meetings and links to the meetings' submitted agendas and minutes. Meeting dates are subject to change. Minutes are generally voted to be accepted at the next meeting and will be posted when approved. Click on agenda or minutes, to view. The documents are PDFs and the link will open a new window.

NOTE: Meeting dates are tentative pending approval at reorganization meetings.

Virtual Meetings

For the safety of the public and committee members, some meetings will be held virtually. See the Virtual Meetings page for information on attending our virtual meetings.

Public Comments

Public comments may be made at the time of the meeting or submitted in advance. In advance of the meeting, members of the public are welcomed to submit questions or comments by electronic mail or in written letter form. Comments submitted via email should be sent to comments@rockawayborough.org. Comments submitted in letter form should be sent to Kimberly Cuspilich, Borough Clerk, 1 East Main Street, Rockaway, NJ 07866. All such questions or comments must include the name and address of the submitter and must be received by the Borough Clerk no later than 4:30 pm on the day prior to the scheduled meeting. Submissions received after the 4:30 deadline will be held over and be included in the next meeting.

Mayor and Council

Council meetings are scheduled to be held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Such meetings shall be held for consideration of and official action may be taken upon all regular business which may arise. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public. Meetings will be held virtually and in person until further notice.

Land Use Board

The Land Use Board meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month for regular meetings and the fourth Monday of the month for supplemental meetings. Meetings will be held virtually until further notice.

Parks & Recreation

Meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. No meeting in December. Meetings will be held virtually until further notice.

Board of Health

The Board of Health meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. No meeting in August. Meetings will be held virtually until further notice.

Historical Committee

The Rockaway Historical Committee meetings are normally held at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month. See schedule changes in notes below.

Environmental Commission

Meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month and will be held virtually until further notice.

Library Board of Trustees

Meetings are normally scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
